Steve Knight and Sherry Wolf met at a local art show where Steve was selling
jewelry and Sherry was volunteering for the organization sponsoring the
show. That was 18 years ago.
We each have a long history of creativity and art. We both started as
jewelers. It was natural for us to become partners.
In 2004 we moved to Cimarron, New Mexico, where we found peace, clean air
and time to pursue our creative spirit. Cimarron, "Where the Rockies meet the
Plains", is a small town (population 900) with a rich Old West history. Many
creative people call Cimarron home.
The art communities of Taos and Santa Fe are nearby.
As artists we would like our lives to be spontaneous, a dance, filled with
surprise and discovery. To avoid stupefying repetition we experiment with
ideas, materials and techniques in our work. Though the sparks of new ideas
can easily flicker out, or just burn up the day, we will share them with you if
they become "art” .
